Every year around the third week of September Sea Isle City has
its annual Irish Fest celebration. Sea Isle’s Irish Festival runs on the
same day as the famed Wildwood Irish Festival. The 2013 Sea Isle City
Irish Festival is on Saturday September 21.
To be sure Sea Isle’s festival
pales in comparison to Wildwood’s. Sea Isle’s fest is perfect for people
looking for a late season activity to do in Sea Isle without actually leaving
the island …. Or …. It is great for those taking a quick day trip to Wildwood
but who also are staying is Sea Isle and want to come back to some festivities
later.
JFK Boulevard is cordoned off for
vendors and La Costa Lounge uses their parking lot for vendors, food and music.
Other watering holes in the area remain open as do many of Sea Isle’s
local stores and restaurants.
This is a nice time especially if
you happen to already have plans in Sea Isle City (SIC). I suspect this
event will grow and grow and the years go on. SIC veterans keep in mind,
at one time the Polar Bear plunge was a small event and now look at it.

Time.
